It was clear and countless swaths of glittering stars dotted the blackness, glowing brightly. He lifted his brown eyes to a framed picture of his old family, his dad was in the middle at the back with Saya on one side and himself on the other with their little brother, Riku, in the front. Kai's eyes clouded in the pain of memory. He was the only one left, Saya had to kill their fater to keep him from transforming in to a Chiropterin. Poor little Riku was only 13 when Diva had murdered him. And Saya fell asleep, into hybernation.
I wonder what you would be like now... little brother. He thought.
The sound of the door opening shnapped his attention back to the present.
A girl dressed in a black robe stood by the frosted glass door. Her long, maroon, hair hung around her neck and green eyes stared hat him unblinkingly.

"Oh... hey Lulu." He greeted her with a care-free smile, all the traces of sadness washed away.

"Do you here it?" she asked her voice high with urgancy.

Kai shook his head. "Hear what Lulu?"

He approached the last surviving member of the Chiff and stood by her side. Lulu and grown more womanly over the last 30 years. She had gotten taller and her hair was to the middle of her back.

Her pointed ears twitched. "I forgot you humans' hearing isn't the greatest. Come with me."

Kai frowned, concerned by the tone in her voice, turned off the main lights, and locked the door, following her out onto the street. She took off quickly around the corner and he had to run to keep up with the Vampire. After a while he realized that she was leading him towards the Miagusgu family grave. The place where their dad and Riku ahd been burried, and where Saya had fallen into  hybernation. It seemed so long since he ahd seen her face or heard her voice. The only thing he had  that remindd him of Saya were her two neices. Diva's children had been alowed to live an adfter Saya had fallen asleep, Kai took them and raised them as his own children. Ryah and Kira is what he named them. He loved them both very much.

Lulu stopped suddenly and turend back to Kai. "can you hear it now? " She asked.

He strained his adged ears and focused. At first all he could hear was the usual night sounds, but as he listened he began to hear something. A strangely familar was being quietly sung by two voices that sounded so alike you could barely tell them apart. It was a beautiful sound through the tones of the wildlife and it entranced Kai. He srarched deep in his memory, trying to remember where he had heard it. A single note rose and fell. he closed his eyes, still searching, and let the song fill his sences. As the song began to grow louder Kai was suddenly struck with recognition. He snapped his eyes open.

"Diva!" He exclaimed.

Lulu nodded. "It's been a long time since I last heard that song."
